I’m totally going to toot my own horn here If you are interested in homebirth in the South Bay region, there is a great yahoo group named the South Bay Homebirth Collective. It’s a great resource for moms and families to post questions and to offer support and/or advice if needed.

An ex-client of mine just posted a super nice post about me on the yahoo group so I am going to paste it in here below. Honestly, being a midwife is a complete honor for me. I am so blessed to be able to walk the journey with families and to stand by them, support them, love them, and take care of them. It’s a privilege. See below:

“It has been almost a year, and I have not yet been able to attend lunch, since our home birth. I had wanted to share our experience in support of others exploring the option. In case I won’t be able to attend the next one, I wanted to offer that I am open to email questions.
A brief story of us: Our first two children were born in hospital, only because I was un-informed, our third was a planned home birth. The third was *by far* the best experience, not only because we did have him at home, but mostly because we chose Lisa Showalter http://shilohmidwifery.com/ to walk this journey with us!”

Yeah!!
